Project co?rdinator (NGO)

Dear freelancer, For a client of ours we are looking to find a project co?rdinator as of immidiatly. The organisation is a non-profit movement that organizes free coding workshops in Belgium for kids. We are fully set-up and organized by volunteers. The organization is currently active in 100 locations in Belgium. Every month over 500 volunteers commit to mentor more than 2000 kids. As a Project Coordinator you are responsible for a project that aims to improve access to our clubs for underprivileged youth in Belgium. The goal is to make free coding clubs and digital skills even better accessible to everyone, increasing inclusion and diversity in our community. This is a temporary assignment until November 2021. Job Mission ; You develop the project according to the project proposal and strategy that has already been determined. You make sure the implementation of the project is in line with the project proposal, both regarding budget tracking and overall planning and execution. Within the framework of the project proposal you take initiative and come up with ideas and actions on how to best implement the project in order to achieve maximal results, in cooperation with the project team. You take care of the day-to-day administration and operational overhead related to this project. This includes preparation of the reporting to the Belgian government, preparing events and training sessions. You follow up or initiate partnerships between existing clubs and non-profit organisations that focus on underprivileged youth, organize popup events and help set up in-house clubs within the non-profit organizations. Next to that you will be responsible for the coordination of organising training events (bootcamps). For all these activities you will be in close contact with a pool of volunteers from the Belgium community. You gather best practices and educational material to facilitate the partnerships, popups and in-house clubs. You embed our priorities and values and translate them in all activities and make sure that the mission and vision is communicated across (social)networks in Belgium. You report on your activities to the co-manager. Profile; You are drawn to the vision of the project and you share the values. You like change & flexibility and you have a hands-on & can do mentality. You have excellent networking skills and are great at connecting people. You have experience with project- and event management, time management & priority setting. You are driven by results and actions and organize your efforts efficiently to achieve maximal results. You are very accurate and can provide flawless documents for subsidy reporting. You are fluent in Dutch and English and French is a plus.
