Damien Foundation is a Belgian non-profit medical organization which supports people suffering from leprosy, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases that particularly affect the most vulnerable communities, with health programs in 13 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin-America and Belgium. Within Damien Foundation, the Engaging & Funding team is in charge of informing and sensibilize all our stakeholders about the organization's mission, and of raising funds with all types of segments (individuals, organizations, major donors, etc.) To help the team realize its projects during the absence of one of our colleague, the team is looking for a FUNDRAISING Officer for a 6 months period As fundraising officer, you help elaborate, coordinate, roll out and follow-up the communication and fundraising initiatives. The mission will include following responsibilities: o Contribute to the preparation and roll-out of the major initiatives such as Damien Games (fundraising project for young people), Damien Foundation Day (inspiring day in november), Leprosy Campaign (communication and fundraising) o Provide support in the organization and coordination of the planned communication and fundraising actions and projects; if necessary, take responsibility for the implementation of some actions himself : update website content, info sessions, events, webinar, leaflet creation, mailing, emailing,... o If needed, develop, expand and maintain 1to1 contacts with target groups requiring a personal approach (including potential testators, testators, major donors, etc.) to ensure and maintain the engagement of these target groups o Maintain and operationally monitor collaborations specifically belonging to this segment (e.g. testament.be) to ensure smooth and efficient work o Actively use and contribute to internal platforms e.g. Damien Action's digital volunteer platform to facilitate the mobilisation of volunteers and other possible segments in the context of the (funding) activities they carry out WHAT YOU NEED o 3-5 years' experience in a role where 1to1 contact is key o Master's degree or similar through experience o Excellent knowledge of project management o Extensive knowledge of Dutch, French and English o Excellent written and oral skills
