Business Analyst - Contract
We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst to join our team for a significant role supporting a major ecosystem modernisation programme. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating the deployment of applications and systems across diverse geographical locations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and seamless integration for the commercial risk business. What the day will look like.
Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:
o Relationship management working directly with colleagues in country to understand their processes and requirements - functional and non-functional.
o Analysing the local processes and requirements to then assist in the development of global processes and solutions.
o Producing a range of Business Analysis outputs including, but not limited to, business requirements, business process diagrams, use case diagrams, user stories, user journeys.
o Liaising with Product Owners and Solution Architects to ensure the development process is efficient, effective, and transparent to the business.
o This role may involve occasional travel within EMEA and possibly APAC.
Skills and experience that will lead to success.
o Greater than 10 years experience of large scale insurance projects - knowledge of insurance concepts and terminology.
o Interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with leading business and technical subject matter experts.
o Flexibility to work with diverse teams from different countries and cultures.
o Exercise curiosity to influence decisions such that they align to programme strategy.
o Self-motivated and able to take leadership on areas of work assigned.
o Ability to see the "big picture" solution but equally drill down to low-level detail when required.
o Strong business analysis skills and analytical ability to understand complex subjects and transferring that knowledge into required deliverables.
o Experience in producing a range of Business Analysis outputs including, but not limited to, business requirements, business process diagrams, use case diagrams, user stories, user journeys.
o Fluent English & Dutch; German and French would be desirable.
o Team coaching, mentoring experience.
o Excellent authoring and document review skills and vocabulary.
o Negotiation, influencing and conflict management skills.
o Excellent team player with the ability to maintain trust at all levels.
o Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and business analysis methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
o Proficiency in requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio).
o Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
o Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) is desirable.

o This role is mostly virtual.
o Travel expenses will be paid.
o Travel occurs approximately once every two months (6x per year).
