- In the running for and selected as Head of Engineering of the department of Unmanned Autonomous Systems (drones, parcel delivery, offshore inspections, aerial mapping, surveillance, ...)
- Unfortunately, as a result of the Corona health and economic crisis, impacting the aviation and space industry heavily, SABCA was forced to install a recruitment freeze and put people into technical unemployment

- System Design Manager for the development of a spoiler electro-mechanical actuation system for the A350 of Airbus
- Responsible for the main design and requirement aspects with respect to the system, controls, safety (RAMS), software, electronics, mechanics
- In close collaboration with the RAMS, software, electronics and mechanics specialists
- Coordination of the system controls and simulation team
- In collaboration with the client, i.e. Airbus
- Coordination of the subcontractors, e.g. for the ball screw, power electronics/ECU, RAMS FMECA analysis, ...

JoSiMite creates, organizes and promotes entertainment events/festivals with the focus on a combination of top competition sports and outdoor, music, culture and ecology. JoSiMite is co-founded by Johan Theunissen, Simon Leclercq and Miet Caes.
JoSiMite is the organization behind GRIPPED - Climbing and music festival, which combines international top climbing competition, open competition, electronic music, animation and workshops and cultural and ecological items.
GRIPPED 2020 was rescheduled as a result of the Corona crisis. However, provided the updated circumstances and restrictions allow it, the following new calendar is planned:
1. Oct-Nov 2019: GRIPPED 2020 in reduced shape: Open competition and music - De Stordeur, Leuven
2. 24th of April 2021: GRIPPED 2021: Belgian Championships Lead, open competition and music - De Stordeur, Leuven
3. Preliminary: Summer 2021: GRIPPED - Open Gym: Music and outdoor festival - Outdoors, Leuven
4. Preliminary: Sep 2022: GRIPPED IFSC European Cup Boulder, and music - Outdoors, Leuven
