Eva

Eva Vlonk (?1992) is a freelance photographer working and living in Ghent, Belgium. Drawn by photography when she was still very young, she started exploring and practicing with old cameras and faded film, tangled up in small dark rooms. Times were different back then, not only in photography. Growing up in the countryside, photography gave her not only a reason to explore her surroundings, it also was her way out, into the cities of this curious world. She met various people from different backgrounds, some of them serving as inspiration or expanding her insights. Eva's work often carries a dark and melancholic feel. You could say she's a little dark and melancholic herself, but the love for the people and places she captures, always shimmers through.
