Senior IT Security Consultant

Workload: Part-time (2 days/week, moving to 3 days/week in 2026) We are seeking a Senior IT Security Consultant to step into a critical role within an IT provider supporting a major pharmaceutical client. This hands-on position ensures continuity of IT security initiatives and incident response readiness as the current consultant transitions out. About the Role: This is a senior, autonomous position in a developing IT security environment. The consultant will help establish security frameworks, processes, and governance, ensuring the client's IT security maturity advances effectively. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of an Incident Response Plan. Support the deployment of ISO27001 standards across the client environment. Provide guidance on CISO-level topics, including IT security governance. Identify gaps in IT processes and propose practical, risk-based security solutions. Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring alignment between business and IT priorities. Deliver structured reporting to stakeholders and ensure knowledge transfer. Required Skills & Experience: Proven senior-level experience in IT / Information Security consulting. Hands-on expertise in Incident Response frameworks and planning. Experience implementing ISO27001 in complex environments. Familiarity with CISO-level responsibilities and security governance. Ability to work independently in a less mature security environment. Excellent communication skills in French and English. Practical Details: On-site: 2 days per week in Brussels (minimum 1 day), increasing to 3 days/week in 2026. Contract: 12+ months, with the possibility of extension. Sector: Pharmaceutical (through an IT provider).
