Senior Developper SQL & .NET @ Engie

As part of the Energy Europe Business Line (EEBL), Energy Management Trading (EMT) is responsible for optimising the ENGIE Group's assets in continental Europe. EMT's role is to supply our customers with competitive energy while maximising the creation of value, all within a standardised framework of risks. EMT's teams negotiate the Group's natural gas supply contracts, optimise its assets (power plants) and purchasing and energy sale contracts (e.g. long-term gas contracts, virtual power plants, and transport, storage and regasification capacity) and supply natural gas, electricity and energy price risk-management services to its customers. They manage one of Europe's largest and most diversified energy portfolios, comprising electricity, natural gas, coal, oil products, biomass, CO2 and environmental products. EMT deals with the daily management of the Group's portfolio on behalf of all of ENGIE's businesses, customers and external stakeholders, more specifically through its trading activities and its presence on Europe's main energy markets. To enhance its competitiveness and continue to expand under optimum conditions, EMT IS is investing heavily in its information system. The Front to Back trading system developed within the Group is based on a Sybase DBMS and an n-tier architecture (VB6, C++, .Net). Its modifiable design means functional components can quickly be re-used. In Parallel a bespoke CTRM (Commodity Trading and Risk Management System) has been develop to handle the BULK activity of EMT. Current BULK Commoditites are Biomass, Fright and Coal. Purpose of the service : The service will be provided within the EMT IS BULK Delivery Center responsible for tools geared towards traders, sales personnel, middle office as well as Risk Management teams (Market Risk and Credit Risk). The main activities are: o Develop new features or enhancement of the Bespoke CTRM o Improve overall quality and performance of the application (Focus on SQL) o Support the Bulk Trading Desk with problems link to the CTRM Technical Skills: o Development on the .NET (VB / C# 4. 5) Platform Senior o Development in Oracle PL/SQL Senior o Development in EXCEL VBA Senior o Development in OutSystems Junior Sector knowledge: o Experience with Trading & Risk Management Systems Senior o Experience in Trading / Finance Environment (Deal Mgt) Senior o Experience with Commodity Trading (Bulk if Possible) Trainee General skills: o Quality minded Senior o Analytical and Conceptual thinking Senior o Documentation skills Senior o Fluent in English Senior
