Fluxys is actively looking for a .NET C# developer to integrate in its development teams. The objective of these teams is to supply services for a series of critical core-applications within asset management:
o New Product development
o Enhancements on existing products
o Support existing products
The candidate will be involved in all aspects of the services, including bug finding and resolution, incident management, new developments, ... .
Based on detailed analysis (UML), and following Fluxys guidelines and market best practices the candidate will produce quality code, with unit-testing, code coverage and documentation. The candidate will also participate in the design of the solution in collaboration with the technical architect. Ideally the candidate will have relevant experience in corporate-wide projects.
Responsibilities
o Cooperate with Technical Lead and Project Manager to produce functionalities.
o Implement new functionalities and maintain existing software.
o Testing (unit tests, integration tests).
o Collaborate with operations teams to deploy/configure the software.
o Realize support and maintenance service by helping in bug finding and resolution, incident management.
Communication Skills
o Ability to communicate with business analysts for understanding the specifications and designs that form the basis for implementation
o Ability to communicate with technical lead to understand the constraints of the architecture that must be followed.
o Ability to communicate in Dutch (spoken) or French (spoken) and English (spoken and written)
Personal Skills
o Ability to work relatively independently following the priorities and timing of the release plan
o Ability to work structured following the procedures (check-in, check-out, time sheet reporting, punctuality)
o Ability to work according to rules, standards and guidelines defined in the architecture
o Ability to communicate realistic predictions about the development work
o Ability to learn a complex business model
Technical Skills
o Capability to develop based on UML specifications
o Ability to develop on the .Net platform in a structured way according to the coding conventions and rules
o Ability to do bottom-up research for problem diagnostics
o Fluency in the use of the following technologies and tools:
o Microsoft development platform in general.
o .NET 4.5
o < >ASP.NET Webforms & MVC, JQuery, Angular, Web API, Bootstrap
o < >Unit Testing
o Azure (Servicebus, Web, Services, ...)
o Basic knowledge of middleware => Windows2012 Server, IIS, Queuing
o Basic knowledge of one or more of following technologies is an a nice to have: DDD, TDD, TOAD, NHibernate, Autofac or other IOC, ADFS, Visual Studio 2013 (VSTS is an asset)
o Experience with WPF, Oracle, Windows Servicebus is an asset
o Experience with integrating .NET-applications with document management systems (e.g. Documentum) and/or ERP-systems is an asset.
