Digital Workflow Engineer

A major European banking organization is seeking a Digital Workflow Engineer to help modernize and automate their loan processing systems. The role focuses on a low-code automation platform and its integration with front-office lending tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Assignment Overview Location: Fully remote (EU-based candidates only) Contract: Freelance, long-term engagement (3+ years) Client: Leading financial services company Responsibilities Configure, develop, and optimize low-code applications for lending and operational workflows Integrate workflow applications with external services and messaging systems (e.g., event streaming and API management) Apply automation best practices and support CI/CD processes for deployment pipelines Contribute to platform architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end digital solutions Requirements Proven experience with low-code enterprise platforms or BPM systems Exposure to API integration, event streaming platforms, or message brokers Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-based development environments EU citizenship or work authorization required Bonus Skills Experience with financial services digitalization projects Knowledge of system orchestration and governance frameworks
