Deskresearcher Recycling (Business Consultant)

Dear Freelancer, For a client we are looking for deskresearcher for 40 hours a week. The job can be done fully remotely, hours are flexible. The client is a consultancy service within one of the largest waste & recycling companies in the world. They provide international expertise on recyclability of packaging. They advise brand owners & packaging companies on design for recyclability and eco-design throughout the world. They have now opened a position for a new colleague to keep their country reports up-to-date and develop them to the next level. The country reports provide detailed knowledge on the local situation on recycling of household packaging in (at the moment) 69 countries. As this information changes frequently, we are looking for a colleague who is accurate and interested in being on top of the developments in recycling infrastructure, deposit systems, legislation and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). This will be your job: o You will be responsible for our Country Reports. You take ownership, proactively update them and add additional interesting information. This requires you to perform desk-research and exchange with our existing contacts (and establish new ones). You ensure to keep up with legislative and infrastructural developments in our field. o Together with others in the team you will create a good model to promote and sell the reports to brand owners and packaging companies throughout the world. o You will make (standardized) proposals to customers and deliver the reports including quarterly updates. o You identify business opportunities to grow the business further. Either with the Country Reports or with additional reports (which you will define). Your ideas on further digitalisation of our reports are very much welcomed. o You will be working in an enthusiastic international team (German, French, Dutch and Australian). Main language in the team is English. This is what you will bring: o You are a confident researcher who can quickly understand the nuances of detailed legislation and national waste infrastructure. You enjoy finding out these new things and can translate this information into clear text and communicate this to clients and colleagues. o University (or applied sciences) degree and have at least 3 years working experience. o Professional writing & communication skills in English. Speaking additional language(s) is considered a plus. o A proactive nature and keen to learn new skills and information. o The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. o Strong attention to detail & commitment to high quality of work. o Experience with MS Office and O365.
