Back End Java Developer

- Function: Build the most innovative and engaging educational applications. Locally, but in an international context. As a back-end developer you are part of one of our fantastic Scrum teams. You develop new functionalities, solve problems and make analyzes of more complex issues. By making a proof of concept you help the team make technical choices where necessary. You do not lose track of quality and motivate your team members to do the same. - Profile: You were bitten early by the IT microbe. That is why you consciously opted for a higher computer science education. In the meantime you have a number of years experience in Java development, the last years in Java 8. You were already part of a Scrum team and you never want anything else. You are a real team player and help your team members before they can make a cry for help. To be able to quickly join the team, you have best experience with NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB). Also Gradle, Spring, REST and ReactiveX (RxJava) are at the top of our wishlist. All our applications run in the cloud on the AWS platform. Experience with or knowledge of AWS is not a must but a plus. Do you have knowledge of VertX? Nice bonus! You are hungry for knowledge that can not be satisfied. You do not shy away from a challenge. You think about sustainable solutions in a creative way. Language You speak perfect Dutch (or a dialect). A good working knowledge of English is necessary.
